Outside of Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets on October 4, it looks like the NFL has opted for less heated matchups in favor of simply tossing NFL games to the UK. Even with the one divisional matchup, it’s hard to expect the Jets will be competitive enough to make that much of a game either.
This announcement runs contrary to earlier reports that there would be five games in London, but few teams stateside are likely crying about the loss of two games played overseas.
The Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Kansas City Chiefs will play host and effectively lose a home game in the process. The Jaguars have an agreement in place so this is nothing new for them. They will ‘host’ the Buffalo Bills on October 25 while the Chiefs play the Detroit Lions on November 1.
The Bills, meanwhile, are probably just happy that it’s not them losing a home game when they play outside of their stadium. Their fans have dealt with that plenty after their failed Toronto Series.
The Dallas Cowboys will play the Jaguars in the final London game of the 2014 season. The Lions played the Atlanta Falcons and the Dolphins played the Oakland Raiders earlier this season.
