Kurt Busch Responds To Domestic Assault Allegation
By Josh Hill
NASCAR may not be on the level of the NFL in terms of popularity, but it’s not immune from the domestic abuse epidemic going on at the moment.
It seems that the rash of domestic violence cases that are open in various sports is spreading by the day. What started as an NFL problem has spread to athletes getting punished in baseball, basketball and hockey with now NASCAR entering the fold with an accusation of abuse.

Kurt Busch was accused of domestic abuse this week, a claim that came up on Friday, but those allegations are already being shot down. While we likely haven’t heard the last of this allegation, legal response has been lightning fast on the part of Busch, who has already had his lawyer respond publicly.
Busch’s attorney released a statement in which he flat out called the allegations a lie, stating they were ‘complete fabrication’.
It’s easy to crucify someone without proper evaluation of the evidence against them, which is why it was wise of Busch to act so fast. It’s also worth nothing how viciously he has responded, which puts to rest some doubt that fans have that he might be guilty of this. It’s the court of public opinion at the moment though, as the actual courts will either handle this or dismiss it as they see fit.
