Buffalo Bills rookie phenom Sammy Watkins still doesn’t know if he’s going to be healthy enough to suit up for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a groin injury

Sammy Watkins has missed the last two days of practice with a groin injury that has his playing status for Buffalo’s game against the Chiefs on Sunday as questionable and the rookie wide receiver is in the dark if he’ll be cleared to play.

While his playing status is officially designated as questionable, Watkins admits he’s “clueless” in regard to his playing status after having an MRI done but doesn’t know of the results or when a decision will be made about his status for in a pivotal AFC clash with playoff implications on the line against Kansas City.

"“I don’t know. They didn’t really update me or tell me what’s going on. For me it’s just sit back and let them do their jobs,” Watkins said, via Mike Rodak of ESPN.com. “That’s the coach’s decision about whether I should play. It’s a long season so I’m really clueless right now. I don’t know.”"

Bills head coach Doug Marrone said Watkins will not test out the injured groin on Saturday so he could be a game-time decision after testing out the groin on Sunday prior to kickoff on Sunday, and considering his importance to the team in the short and the long term, you can imagine the team will weight the pros and cons of playing Watkins at less than 100 percent.

Watkins has 38 receptions for 530 yards and five touchdowns this year. He was the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft after an All-American career with the Clemson Tigers. The Bills traded up from the ninth spot to take the explosive playmaker and gave up their 2015 first round pick in order to get Watkins.
