You’d think that the public relations train would probably be stopped at the station in regards to the Adrian Peterson situation, but the Minnesota Vikings running back apparently decided to fire up the engine on Sunday morning.
Peterson, who plead no contest to misdemeanor reckless assault in an alleged child abuse case decided to post a photo of he and his daughter enjoying their time together.
There’s of course no problem with Adrian Peterson spending time with his children but this does come across as if the Pro Bowl running back is simply trying to hard. It would have been one thing had he just posted a photo of he and his young daughter. Even then that would have raised some eyebrows. But then to take it a step further and make sure the word “Superdad” is plastered all over the photo? Really?

How Adrian Peterson chooses to discipline his children is his own doing (sans abuse) though he probably would have been better served by simply having fun with his daughter and not involving the masses by posting the photo on social media. It seems extremely evident this was nothing more than a public relations ploy in attempt to soften the blow of the Peterson situation as the football star prepares for a return to the NFL.
As a father you need to spend time with your children, though you probably should avoid trying to milk the situation because of poor choices in the past.
