The Detroit Lions get another game winner, this time a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Theo Riddick.

The Detroit Lions are the kings of the fourth quarter. Maybe not the second or the third quarter, but this year the Detroit Lions have learned to get it done very late in the game. Three weeks ago they trailed 14 to the

New Orleans Saints

and came back to win, two weeks ago they defeated the

Atlanta Falcons

in England after trailing by 21 and now, after a three point fourth quarter deficit, the Lions put together a beautiful game winning touchdown drive.

From the 11-yard line with 35 seconds on the clock and trailing 16-13, Matthew Stafford took a deep drop back, scrambled to avoid pressure, and launched a bullet to the back of the endzone that was caught by the diving Theo Riddick, giving the Lions a touchdown and a 20-16 lead with just 29 seconds on the clock, winning the game over the very talented Miami Dolphins.

Matthew Stafford led the Lions on the final 11-play, 77-yard game winning drive as he had eight completions, including the game winning throw to Riddick.

Calvin Johnson returned this week after missing the previous four games due to an ankle injury and made a splash, catching seven passes for 113 yards and one touchdown, leading the Lions to victory with Stafford and another very impressive defense game.

The Detroit Lions are now 7-2 tied with the New England Patriots for the second best record in the NFL behind the Arizona Cardinals at 7-1. Just as fitting, the Lions will take on the Arizona Cardinals next week and then the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving the next week.
