Detroit Lions Most Likely To Give Ndamukong Suh A Big Money Deal
By Josh Hill
Detroit Lions fans are wondering if Ndamukong Suh will be back next season or if he’ll be lost in free agency but the team seems inclined to give him a big deal.
When Ndamukong Suh was getting fined for his rough play, other NFL owners and players were blasting him for his style. Now that he’s about to hit the market, everyone has shut up about hating Suh in case they have a chance to add him to their roster.

That’s how the NFL works and it’s something the Lions are looking to prevent. Such is slated to his free agency for the first time in his career this offseason, which means his turbulent tenure with Detroit could soon be over.
According to Kyle Meinke of MLive.com, the Lions only have a 51 percent chance of re-signingn Ndamukong Suh this offseason but they’re also the team most inclined to give him a monster deal.
"The odds he re-signs: 51 percent.Rationale: It’s basically a tossup, because Suh seems pretty intent on hitting free agency. But he’s also going to sign with whoever gives him the most money, and the Lions have by far the most incentive to give him that kind of money."
Suh re-signing with the Lions would be ideal for Detroit as he’s a centerpiece in their defense and a face of their franchise. We’re starting to see the value of faces of the franchise change though as the likes of Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice and others — albeit under difference circumstances — aren’t the faces of their franchises anymore.
Detroit needs Suh, but he wants to get paid like a top defensive lineman. Gerald McCoy set the price for Suh rather high with his deal down in Tampa Bay which means it’s up to Detroit to work things out from this point on.
