By Phil Watson
The Detroit Lions are 7-2 for just the second time since 1962 after a come-from-behind win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Matthew Stafford threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Theo Riddick with 29 seconds left Sunday and the Detroit Lions hung on for a 20-16 win over the Miami Dolphins at Ford Field.
The Lions (7-2) led most of the way, but fell behind 16-13 with 4:19 left on a 20-yard field goal by Caleb Sturgis.

Jordan rumbled all the way to the Lions’ 3-yard line. Ryan Tannehill hit Mike Wallace for a 3-yard touchdown on the next play to give Miami its first lead.
Detroit tied it on Prater’s 50-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter.
The Lions led 10-0 early, getting a field goal off a marathon 15-play, 72-yard drive that took 8:41 off the clock to open the game. A key play on that possession was a 24-yard completion from punter Sam Martin to fullback Jed Collins on fourth-and-6.
That was a theme for the day—Detroit threw two passes out of punt formation and Miami had a first-down on a run on a fake punt called back by a penalty.
After Miami went three-and-out, Stafford hit Calvin Johnson for a 49-yard touchdown on the first play of the next possession. Johnson had not played since a loss to Buffalo on Oct. 5 because of an ankle injury.
He had seven grabs for 113 yards in his return.
Miami’s last play involved some trickery, as well, as Tannehill threw a short pass to Jarvis Landry, who lateraled to Brian Hartline, who pitched it back to Tannehill, who fumbled the ball out of bounds with no time left on the clock.
Stafford as 25-for-40 for 280 yards and two touchdowns and also threw an interception. Tannehill went 27-for-38 for 215 yards and a touchdown. He also had a pick.
The Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills (5-4) on Thursday night, while the Lions are at the Arizona Cardinals (7-1) next Sunday.
