Drinking antifreeze isn’t something you want to do during your life, though actor Daniel Radcliffe apparently didn’t get the memo as he consumed a cup of the highly toxic liquid on the set of ‘Horns’.
While filming the movie Radcliffe apparently became parched and decided drink a glass of water from his trailer. No big deal, right? Only problem? The water was laced with antifreeze which in turn made Daniel Radcliffe quite sick.
The biggest issue though was that Radcliffe didn’t know the water had antifreeze poured in it until a few weeks later when he attempted to do so again, though thankfully was stopped by people on the set.
“I didn’t realize, and then I got horrendously ill and didn’t know why I had become so ill, and a couple of weeks later I went to drink a glass of water in hair and makeup and they were like, ‘What are you doing? Don’t do that, that’s crazy you can’t drink that water!’ ”
That was ‘crazy’ because the film crew had poured antifreeze in the water to keep pipes in the trailers from freezing in the cold Canadian temperatures. There were signs all over the set informing actors not to drink the water but Radcliffe didn’t notice them until it was far too late.
One would assume that antifreeze would have some type of taste to it, no matter how diluted down it may have been. Perhaps Daniel Radcliffe simply chalked it up to Canada having crappy water.
Regardless, it seems as if the actor will put anything into his mouth that he comes across. Wait, that sounded bad.
Crap.
