Nov 9, 2014; Oklahoma City, OK, USA; Oklahoma City Thunder guard Reggie Jackson (15) drives to the basket against Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins (15) during the fourth quarter at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Mandatory Credit: Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports
Point Guards:
Bargain:
Luke Ridnour, Magic (3.8 million): Elfrid Payton is struggling lately, and Ridnour is picking up the slack. He has seen his minutes and production increase. While he likely wonāt crack the starting lineup anytime soon, he could see 20-25 minutes as long as Payton struggles.
Worth The Price:
Reggie Jackson, Thunder (7.7 million): With the numbers he is putting up lately, he would be worth it at 9 million. He is second in fantasy points per game among active players tonight only to John Wall. I would take Jackson over Wall simply because he is more consistent. It doesnāt hurt that he is nearly two million cheaper.
Overpriced:
Goran Dragic, Suns (7 million): There are too many guards for any of them to live up to their potential in Phoenix, and so far, Dragic has suffered more than Bledsoe or Thomas. I would stay away from all of them until someone gets hurt or traded.
My Lineup:
Jackson and Ridnour (11.5 million)
Nov 5, 2014; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier (10) competes against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. The Magic defeated the 76ers 91-89. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
Shooting Guards:
Bargain:
Evan Fournier, Magic (4.9 million): He continues to produce huge numbers with Oladipo out. He is a must-play every day in this format.
Worth The Price:
Kobe Bryant, Lakers (8.9 million): He is option A, B, and C on this young team. And in FanDuel, you donāt care if he misses 20 shots as long as he is scoring. That is exactly what he is doing right now.
Overpriced:
Eric Bledsoe, Suns (7 million): See also: Dragic, Goran
My Lineup:
Fournier andĀ WesleyĀ Matthews, TrailblazersĀ (11.2 million). Matthews has been one of the more consistent players so far on the season. Iām going to ride him while he is hot.
Nov 7, 2014; Auburn Hills, MI, USA; Milwaukee Bucks guard Jerryd Bayless (19) and Detroit Pistons forward Josh Smith (6) go for a loose ball during the second quarter at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Mandatory Credit: Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
Small Forwards:
Bargain:
Jeremy Lamb, Thunder (5.5 million): He is being given an extended run, and is making the most of it still. Even without Durant, this is a solid team. Lamb will continue to see chances to produce.
Worth The Price:
Josh Smith, Pistons (7.8 million): Itās a toss-up between him and Gordon Heyward of the Jazz. Both are producing good numbers for their price. I give Smith the slight edge because he does a lot more than just score. Even if he is cold from the field, he will still get you 25+ fantasy points. You canāt say the same for Heyward.
Overpriced:
Luol Deng, Heat (6.9 million): He had his best game of the year on Sunday, so maybe he is turning it around. I just want to see him do it in more than one game before I take the plunge.
My Lineup:
Smith and Lamb (13.3 million)
Oct 29, 2014; Boston, MA, USA; Boston Celtics center Jared Sullinger (7) drives on Brooklyn Nets center Kevin Garnett (2) during the first quarter at TD Garden. Mandatory Credit: Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports
Power Forwards:
Bargain:
Jared Sullinger, Celtics (6.7 million):Sullinger is producing like most 8-9 million dollar players, and is showing no signs of slowing down. He started to break out last year. This year he finishes it, and I will start him nearly every game.
Worth The Price:
Anthony Davis,Ā Pelicans (11.2 million):It is not very often that someone this expensive is worth the price, but Davis has been the highest scorer in FanDuel so far this season, and is not slowing down at all. If you have the money, play him!
Overpriced:
Serge Ibaka, Thunder (8 million): Serge has just one 40 point fantasy game. That is unacceptable at his price. I donāt think this trend will last, but I am not taking a chance on him until he scores in the high 30ās consistently.
My Lineup:
Sulllinger and Davis (17.9 million)
Nov 4, 2014; Los Angeles, CA, USA; Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill (right) is defended by Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic (1) during the second half at Staples Center. Mandatory Credit: Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports
Center:
Bargain:
Jordan Hill, Lakers (6.1 million): He has only one game under 30 fantasy points in November, and is taking full advantage of his role with the Lakers. He is definitely worth the money right now.
Worth The Price:
Nikola Vucevic, Magic (8.6 million): He is averaging more per game that Dwight Howard. Vucevic is on even more of a tear lately, so I give him the slight nod over Chris Bosh.
Overpriced:
Andre Drummond, Pistons (7.8 million): Foul trouble has made Drummond far less effective than he should be. Until he gets that under control, steer clear.
My Lineup:
Hill (6.1 million)
