Everybody loves cheerleaders, right? I mean – what’s not to like? From the ponytail to the jubilant personality, cheerleaders have become a staple of both collegiate and professional basketball and football.
More than that, some of the women participate in cheer competitions which are no joke. You know you’ve been flipping channels late at night only to come across such on ESPN and have your jaw drop at some of the moves they pull off.
They look absurdly impressive and difficult from the viewers standpoint, but what does it look like for one of the ladies actually performing such? It’s a question I ask myself on a daily basis as you most likely do as well, though thankfully today we have our answer.
Given most of us probably can’t touch our toes without pulling a hamstring, a few members of Maryland University cheer squad strapped on a GoPro camera and recorded their vantage point. Needless to say, it’s pretty much like getting stuffed inside of a washing machine and going through the cycle for a few seconds.
Did you eat lunch yet? Maybe even dinner by the time you watch this? If so, my apologies but you were warned.
Seriously, my brain has turned into scrambled eggs just from watching that let alone actually performing some of the routines.
Perhaps this is the female version of putting your forehead on a baseball bat and spinning around fifteen times before letting go and running full blast into the backstop. Not that something like that ever happened to me. Twice.
