When Teddy Bridgewater entered the NFL, the former Louisville quarterback famously wore gloves which isn’t something you see many signal callers do at the professional level.
That normally may not be a problem though the Minnesota Vikings quarterback has seemingly struggled during cold weather games and some have suggested he needs to lose the gloves despite the cold temperatures in effort to help him better grip the ball.
It’s a valid point though one Teddy Bridgewater isn’t concerned with apparently nor is he worried about the upcoming cold temperatures he and his Minnesota Vikings are going to experience during the remaining home games.
“I’m feeling very confident,” Bridgewater said, via Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “We’ve been able to experience some cold games in college but none like we’re going to face on this level. I know that’s going to be different but it’s all a mental thing. Our coaches are doing a great job of preparing us for these next couple games down the stretch and I think we’re going to be ready to go.”
Bridgewater of course will not have the luxury of playing in a dome like Vikings in years past as the team is currently playing outside at the University of Minnesota until construction on their new stadium is completed.
For what it’s worth the Vikings have been testing Teddy Bridgewater’s ability to handle the ball by dunking it in cold water at least once a week during practice. So far he hasn’t had any known issues though life is a bit more difficult when you have a few tons of muscle storming at you in potential blizzard-like conditions.
Welcome to the NFC North, Teddy Bridgewater.
