A baby elephant tried to steal the hat of PGA Tour golfer Jason Dufner while participating in the Asian Tour.

PGA golfer Jason Dufner has been abroad for the past week or so participating in the annual Asian Tour where he met a special friend.

No, it wasn’t an alligator as we’ve seen on the swap-filled courses in Florida and Louisiana. No, it wasn’t a massive gecko as we’ve seen in Hawaii. Instead, it was a cute baby elephant who greeted Jason Dufner by…stealing his hat?

Okay, so it was stagged most likely but Dufner made his way over to the mini-sized elephant who promptly stuck out its trunk and lifted Dufner’s hat off his head. Cute, right? Sure. But things were quickly made better by the elephant deciding that the cap was now his and he began to back up and walk away from Jason Dufner.

That part of the greeting didn’t appear to be put together and the baby elephant seemingly wanted to take the golfers hat and make it his own.

Sadly he thought better of it (have you seen what they do for theft in Thailand?) and walked back closer to Dufner where he placed the hat back on the golfers head.

My favorite part had to be the head shaking as if the elephant was suggesting “you can’t get this back now”. The only thing that would have improved the video is if the elephant would have decided to put the hat on his head and not give it back.

Still, pretty awesome moment and I’m sure one Jason Dufner probably won’t forget.
