Live Action South Park Is Messing With Your Head (Video)
On a recent episode of South Park, the boys were shown in live action at the conclusion.
What just happened? Did South Park really just show a live action version of its main characters? Why would you mess with us like this? There are a couple of questions that arise from this clip, which is posted below for you to inevitably watch over and over again. The episode in question is entitled “Grounded Vindaloop,” with a plot the circulates around virtual reality.

The first one that arises is simply why. Why now? Why would Trey Parker and Matt Stone wait 18 seasons and 254 episodes to unleash this seemingly inevitable, yet entertaining gag? Family Guy pulled the stunt in their second season episode “Let’s Go to the Hop.” The Simpsons even used a British network live action promo for the opening sequence of a season 16 episode on FOX. We should not be shocked about it happening, but rather the timing of it; namely why it occurred this late in the series’s life.
The second question is as follows. Will we be seeing this again? Was this just a one time ordeal for those child actors? It was actually kind of entertaining, and somewhat refreshing to see this prospective of the hit comedy. It would be a shame if there was never another opportunity to hear Eric Cartman speak in real life.
