The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts are set to renew a big rivalry tonight on Sunday Night Football, and it will be a key game for the AFC playoff picture as well. Both teams are among the elite teams in the AFC, and they are both expected to compete with the Denver Broncos at the top of the conference. This is a game that means a bit more to both teams, and it will be an extremely hard-fought contest.

Indianapolis is coming into the game tonight with a 6-3 record, while the Patriots currently hold a 7-2 record. Needless to say, this game could have playoff implications later on in the year, and the Colts are in need of a statement win.

More from Indianapolis Colts

There is going to be a lot of heated play on the field tonight, and it will be exactly the definition of a rivalry game. It will be fun to watch both Tom Brady and Andrew Luck go at each other, and there is no question that the Colts are looking to get revenge for their playoff loss last season. Playing at home in Lucas Oil Stadium will help, but their defense has to step up to slow down New England’s offense.
