The Green Bay Packers are looking to pull off a huge win at home against the Philadelphia Eagles this afternoon, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers is off to a quick start. Not only has he thrown for 158 yards and a touchdown in the first quarter, he also broke Tom Brady’s record for most passing attempts at home without throwing an interception.

There is no question that Rodgers has been playing at an incredibly high level this season, and he is running away with the MVP conversation at this point. Green Bay got off to a bit of a slow start, but Rodgers told the Packers fans to “R-E-L-A-X” and that is exactly what he helped them do with his stellar performances. The Packers are now 6-3 with a chance to move to 7-3 with a win at home this afternoon against the Eagles.
Needless to say, Rodgers has been moving up the record watch for quite some time and has finally taken the record from Brady. He has a chance to break plenty more records if he continues playing at the level that he has been this year. Green Bay is looking like a legitimate contender in the NFC, but they wouldn’t be nearly the team they are without Rodgers leading the way.
All of that being said, congratulations are in order to Rodgers on breaking this record. Brady is one of the most dominant quarterbacks of this era, and Rodgers has earned every bit of this record. Now all he needs to do is finish off this victory for the Packers to be able to enjoy the record.
