Seattle Seahawks Player Ejected For Punching (Video)
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette was ejected from Sunday’s game against Kansas City for throwing a punch.
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who specializes on special teams, was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after he threw a punch after a Seattle punt.
After a punt by Seattle late in the third quarter, Chiefs return man DeAnthony Thomas shook through some tackles and made a good run along the right sideline. Lockette was on the other side of the field and after being blocked by two defenders and being pushed down in the process, he was able to get to the right side and help make the tackle on DeAnthony Thomas.
As Lockette tried to get up, Chiefs defender Kurt Coleman shoved him, which led to the frustration punch from Lockette to Coleman, right in front of a referee, which called for an immediate ejection.

Unfortunately for Lockette as well as the Chiefs, replay showed that Thomas had stepped out of bounds at the Chiefs own 29-yard line, which could’ve meant none of this would have happened, so it’s a lose-lose situation.
The Seahawks took the lead in the game after a Chiefs fumble on the ensuing possession led Seattle in striking distance, and they capitalized for a touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to Tony Moeaki for a 20-17 lead. We’ll see if Lockette’s ejection hurts the Seahawks, but so far it hasn’t.
