It seems just like yesterday when Shaquille O’Neal was asking Kobe Bryant “how does my ass taste”. Of course, that was nearly a decade ago and the two have apparently become much more mature over the course of time.
That or they just wanted to play nice for the cameras which were plastered all over both men at a Los Angeles Lakers game this weekend.
Shaq, who was in attendance as a fan, made his way to the court where he and Kobe Bryant exchanged pleasantries and even went as far as to hug before the Lakers hosted the Golden State Warriors.

While Bryant and O’Neal weren’t constantly at odds during their playing time together it’s safe to say their relationship wasn’t exactly on BFF status either. Given that it’s not completely outlandish to see the two embrace however you can’t help but think it was much more than the two playing the PR card.
The last thing either wanted to deal with was media freaking out because Shaquille O’Neal didn’t shake hands with Kobe Bryant when he attended the Los Angeles Lakers game, so it was much easier and quicker to exchange pleasantries and be on their way.
Bryant of course has continued to play with the Lakers since O’Neal’s departure while the retired big man is now part owner of the Sacramento Kings, a franchise he once tortured in the postseason.
Ironic to say the least, much like the meeting between the two players.
Still, pretty cool for those in attendance since the chance to see Kobe and Shaq together at a Lakers game since it might be the last time the two are in the same building for quite some time.
