It seems safe to say that Chicago Bulls big man Joakim Noah is a bit of a unique character.
That’s part of the reason he’s so beloved in the Windy City, in addition to his extremely high motor and effective game. Another reason so many seem to enjoy Noah though is his desire to win, something he showed during Monday’s tilt against the Los Angeles Clippers despite not being on the floor at the time.
With Blake Griffin at the foul line, Noah sat on the Chicago Bulls bench and locked his eyes on Griffin, starting at the power forward who was preparing to put up his shot. That’s when Joakim Noah could be seen yelling at his former fellow All-Star, presumably yelling “miss it” though I’m no lip-reading expert.
Indeed, that’s exactly what Blake Griffin did and perhaps thinking he had a role in the clank, Joakim Noah couldn’t control his excitement on the pine.
Seriously, that reaction is nothing short of hilarious. Dude looks like a kid who just pulled off an epic prank on a family member. Raising his legs in excitement and clapping his hands while a dejected Blake Griffin walks into the lane could be a meme for the ages.
It was Noah and his Chicago Bulls who had the final laugh as well given they escaped Southern California with a six-point victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. A rough night for Griffin as he also was photobombed by Noah teammate, rookie Doug McDermott as well.
This certainly won’t be the last time we see Noah and Griffin battle, even if it wasn’t on the court as many would have expected.
