Five feet of snow in Buffalo might move the Week 12 game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets to Monday Night Football.

Over five feet of snow has fallen in Buffalo this week and more is forecast for later in the week. Crews at the Bills’ Ralph Wilson Stadium have already removed 220,000 tons of snow from the grounds. Bills players have been game planning via iPads, being unable to get to or practice in the stadium, according to a story by Yahoo’s Shutdown Corner. The big question now is whether the team will be able to practice this week and then whether the game should still be played on Sunday.

As a report by Syracuse.com reveals, a switch to Monday night could be an option for the game. Everyone likes snow games, but Bills operation crews are saying the current conditions are the worst in team history. The NFL is reportedly working with the team on a solution, which could include either a date change or possibly even a location change.

"“We are preparing to play this game at RWS at 1, just as we always have,” the team’s senior vice-president of communications Scott Berchtold said in a conference call with reporters."

An updated story by the Washington Post says that the game is so far expected to go ahead as scheduled, despite the fact that another two feet of snow could fall through Thursday night. The stadium is also paying $10 per hour and free game tickets to Buffalo residents, or anyone that wants free tickets, to help shovel out the snow.
