San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich ripped into media members who have been critical in the past of Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James.
Gregg Popovich has plenty of interest in beating LeBron James on the court, but off the court he has nothing but compliments and frank admiration for the four-time NBA MVP. In an interview before the Spurs played the Cavaliers, Popovich told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin what he thought of the LeBron critics in the media.

The respect has been high and mutual between James and the Spurs dating back to their first NBA Finals showdown when LeBron led an unlikely Cavaliers squad to the Finals, only to get swept by Popovich’s Spurs. James got revenge two years ago with the Miami Heat before the Spurs dispatched of those same Heat a year later in the Finals.
The rivalry has been one of the most entertaining in the league and also one of the most relevant because of the success of both James and the Spurs. The game they played after Pop dished on LeBron lived up to that hype as the Spurs won a 92-90 nail biter.
