Although professional athletes (both current and former) are often put upon a pedestal, they too have normal everybody problems like us.
Case in point, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and current NFL analyst Michael Irvin who apparently had a bit of a problem while driving his Hummer around today. Dude ran out of gas.
To make the most out of a rather irritating situation, Irvin decided to live-tweet the festivities and they were pretty humorous.
First we see Michael Irvin’s black Hummer pulled over on the side of the road with Irvin himself taking a picture of the unfortunate circumstances.
Thankfully though there was a nice passerby who decided to help the former Dallas Cowboys star. He of course could have driven Irvin to a local gas station to fill up a jug of petrolium but instead they decided to go old school and sift some fuel.
While that was very kind of the man to assist Michael irvin, I do have a few questions. First off, why is he still driving a Hummer? What is this? 1997? More importantly, why did he allow his Hummer to run out of gas? Sure, I could see it with an economy car that gets 943 miles to the gallon but you have to fill up a Hummer every seven minutes.
Irvin’s rough day didn’t get much better either as his flight was delayed thanks to a two-hour tarmac delay.
Sometimes you just wish you would have stayed in bed.
