The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a surprising loss to the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night and that has resulted in a shakeup in the AFC Playoff race.
On Thursday night, the Oakland Raiders picked up their first win of the 2014-15 NFL regular season by taking down the division rival Kansas City Chiefs.

While it was obviously a big win for the Raiders, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, it was also a potentially crushing blow for the Chief and their playoff hopes.
Currently, Kansas City holds the No. 6 spot in the AFC which would land them the final Wildcard berth. Because of the loss, the Pittsburgh Steelers now hold the “best win percentage in conference games” tie breaker and moved ahead of Kansas City.
There are also four more AFC teams who have an opportunity to advance to 7-4 after Week 12, so things could end up getting very interesting.
When the season wraps up, the Chiefs may very well look back at Thursday night as the game that cost them the opportunity to advance to the postseason.
