The worst case scenario is that Berry has lymphoma but there has been no official diagnosis given just yet. Berry is going to be stepping away from the Chiefs in the meantime, while his friends and family begin to rally in support of Berry.
His agent confirmed on Monday that the mass in Berry’s chest is feared to be cancerous as Chad Speck tweeted out a statement regarding the reason that the Chiefs star will be out.
This is absolutely devastating news, and it proves that cancer touches everyone everywhere, no matter your social class or your overall health. Berry is in peak physical condition as a Pro Bowler in the NFL but even that can’t ward off cancer.
Hopefully the mass turns out to be something less serious, but Berry’s agent confirming the news shows that the support system in place for the former Volunteers star will be there to pick him up as he prepares for the battle of his life.
