When the San Francisco 49ers opened up Levi’s Stadium earlier this season, many joked the Santa Clara based venue could become the ‘Field of Jeans’, an obvious play on ‘Field of Dreams’.
Little did many know that would actually come true.
With Levi’s gearing up for the holiday season, the jeans manufacturer decided to pool together nearly 19,000 pairs of denim which will be donated to needy families via Goodwill. However before the jeans begin their journey Levi’s decided to place every pair on the San Francisco 49ers turf literally creating a ‘Field of Jeans’.

Crazy, right?
While it created a rather impressive visual and was an extremely kind gesture on behalf of Levi’s and 49ers fans, I certainly wouldn’t want to be one of the people who are tasked with the job of picking up those jeans as that’s going to take quite an effort.
Also, can you imagine if the sprinklers accidentally came on with all the jeans on the field? What a disaster that would have been.
Thankfully there were no drenched jeans and the photo of the ‘Field of Jeans’ turned out perfect as hoped.
As for the denim, it took a crew sixteen hours to place the jeans on the field, that was on top of the sixteen days it took to collect the jeans from Bay Area residents.
