New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wants to focus on the regular season for now. The team’s star quarterback claims that his squad is “so far from the Super Bowl.”
This NFL season, thus far, belongs to the New England Patriots. In fact, it is not our season, they are just letting us witness it. New England has reeled off seven consecutive wins and Tom Brady is playing his best football since 2011. Despite being an arguably much less potent team on paper, compared to last season, this year’s group of players are performing at a level almost no one expected. It has the Boston area envisioning a 6th Super Bowl appearance for owner Robert Kraft and company.

Brady is remaining grounded through it all though.
“We are so far from [the Super Bowl]. We have so many games [left]. If we are lucky enough to make it there, no one ever cares who we play. But that’s so far down the road. We think about the one game we have ahead of us, which is a good opponent. We have nine wins. We’ve done a good job getting ourselves to this position. This is when the weather turns, the mental toughness, the discipline, how much we’ve improved really comes into play,” Brady explained to WEEI, through ESPN.com.
Whatever the team is doing in Foxborough, clearly it is working wonders for them. The New England Patriots have been on a tear for the last 7 weeks. During this time, they are averaging 41 points per game, with a league high margin of victory at an average of 22. Suddenly, the backlash of a 41-14 dismantling at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs appears to be water well under the bridge. Perhaps, only one team in the league can claim a similar ledger of dominance over this recent stretch. The Pats will travel to Lambeau Field on Sunday to take on the red-hot Green Bay Packers in a match up that is looking more and more by the days as a potential Super Bowl preview.
