Texans star J.J. Watt sent local Houston fire and police departments pizza and thanked them for their service to the community.

Although J.J. Watt is a fierce competitor on the field, off it he’s one of the nicest guys to play in the NFL.

A marketing dream, Watt routinely goes out his way to make sure every single fan gets an autograph and/or picture. More than that, the Houston Texans potential Defensive Player of the Year award winner likes to spend his downtime helping others.

Case in point, Watt recently sending pizza to local Houston police and fire departments.

There was no media coverage, no “look what I’m doing”. It was simply a kind gesture on behalf of J.J. Watt who wanted to thank true hero’s for what they do on a daily basis.

A firefighter posted a picture of the Papa John’s pizza (he’s coming for your spot, Peyton Manning) along with a note sent by Watt.

“You show up day in and day out, never knowing what the day might hold and never getting enough thanks for what you do, yet you still continue to put others ahead of yourselves,” it reads in part for those who can’t make out J.J. Watt’s handwriting.

Seriously, you didn’t need any more reason to love the former Wisconsin talent but this just puts things over the top.

Hopefully he now adds a pizza man delivery dance into his sack celebration considering he keeps changing things up on a weekly basis.

Be proud Houston, you have yourself a true franchise player both on and off the field.
