After a comeback victory against the New York Giants on Sunday night, the Dallas Cowboys have spent the first few days of their week preparing for their Thanksgiving tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While they’d normally be given a day or possibly even two off after their Sunday win, the fact they’re playing on Thursday has created little downtime for the Dallas Cowboys and many of the players haven’t been able to stay on their normal schedule.
Given that multiple players on the roster missed some bulletin board comments directed at the Cowboys by the Philadelphia Eagles, though Cowboy Nation has their back as they’ve been tweeting the questionable comments to the Dallas players including center Travis Frederick.
“I saw it on Twitter, of course,” Frederick said Tuesday. “It seems like everyone in Cowboys Nation has tweeted it to us as an offensive line to make sure that we heard about it.”
So what exactly is Frederick refering to? This comment from Eagles defensive tackle Bennie Logan:
“I don’t really know what’s great about them,” Logan recently told CSNPhilly.com. “The running back’s having a good year running, but I don’t see anything spectacular about them. Same offensive line we faced last year and they have one new guy. We faced them [before]. They’re OK linemen.”
It’s not the only verbal spar sent out between the teams though it’s certainly the one garnering the most attention as Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray also heard of Logan’s comment. He however had little in terms of response, suggesting everybody will find out about the Cowboys’ offensive line on Thursday afternoon.
It’s not as if an Eagles-Cowboys game needed any additional bad blood but it seems like we’re going to be getting some.
