The NFL has reinstated Ray Rice, who is free to resume his football career, but the Indianapolis Colts may not be as good a fit as earlier thought to be.
Ray Rice has been reinstated into the NFL and that means his football career is going to get back under way. That being said, Rice won’t be able to have the pick of the litter he may have had before the world found out he’s a violent wife beater. The road to redemption for the former Ravens running back is underway though but not many teams are throwing themselves at him to help him out.

It was speculated by CBSSports on Friday that the Indianapolis Colts were an ideal fit for Rice, but that’s not a marriage that is going to take place anytime soon.
According to Colts beat writer Stephen Holder, the Colts have no interest in Ray Rice at this point in time and will not be singing him.
"The Colts currently have no plans to pursue Rice, who won an appeal Friday and is free to sign with any NFL team. That news comes from a source familiar with the team’s plans."
New England is another team that may have given Rice a look, but then LeGarrette Blount fell into their laps a few weeks ago. Minnesota Vikings fans wouldn’t mind Rice but Adrian Peterson has created wounds that Rice would open back up. There aren’t many teams in the NFL that would give Rice a chance this late in the season, and if the Colts — a running back needy team — is willing to pass him up there aren’t many others that will change his path in 2014.
