Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was busted for being out too late the other week, but he’s not about to go down with taking a few swings first.
Johnny Manziel’s NFL career has not gone the way he thought it would. He’s not the starter yet and the Browns are winning their way into the playoffs under a different quarterback. The guy Manziel was supposed to replace is having a career year, but there are still those trying to take down the former Heisman winner.

Last week, a big deal was made about Manziel being up and out until 2:30 in the morning on Saturday. While this would have been a bigger deal had it been on a morning of a game, it was the night before and Manziel was roasted for it.
Manziel told Cleveland.com that he doesn’t go out on the town that often and he knows that he stays in a lot more than other unnamed players around the league.
"“I think me, I’m usually in my home, not venturing out very much and I don’t get a lot of time to go out and see much of Cleveland. So one night that I did get a chance to go out and did stay out a little later on a decision that I made on my own I felt at the time was OK. I know there’s other guys around the league and other guys in this locker room that do the same thing and enjoy their time when they’re out of the building, and I know that at night when I go to bed I need to make sure that I’m ready and capable of going to work the next day and doing my job to the duties that I have being in this building the next day.”"
While this is selfdefense by Manziel, he also kind of, sort of throws the rest of the NFL under the bus in doing so.
It’s easy to hate Johnny Manziel, especially with him not playing at the moment. He has been a controversial figure ever since he stepped into the limelight, but he’s not going to allow people to roast him without sticking up for himself first.
