Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA icon Kobe Bryant crossed over his defender in the middle of a fastbreak.

There’s been a significant amount of talk this season regarding Kobe Bryant’s play and his potential decline in skills.

Yes, his numbers are not what anybody expects in terms of efficiency but some would attribute that to the fact he’s playing with nothing short of a high school level roster.

Has Bryant lost some skills and potentially a step? Perhaps, though the Black Mamba even at a discounted rate is still better than most at their best. He decided to make that point crystal clear during the Los Angeles Lakers game Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves when he embarrassed Thaddeus Young on a fastbreak.

Streaking down the court after stealing the ball, Bryant only had one player to beat. He could have done so relatively easy by simply using his body or cutting off an angle, but Kobe Bryant wanted to bring the Lakers fans out of their seats.

So what he did do? Crossover Young, of course, while in the midst of a fastbreak.

It’s difficult enough to cross another NBA player over, but to do it while essentially going full spend on a fastbreak? That’s pretty rare stuff, especially when you’re doing it against a player in Thaddeus Young who has a reputation for being one of the best wing defenders in the league.

Lost step or not, Kobe Bryant is still getting it done and has no problem embarrassing his counterparts in the process.
