When Jeremy Lin was acquired in an offseason trade by the Los Angeles Lakers, the point guard couldn’t have been more thrilled. Not only was he leaving an organization where he expressed some frustration but he was coming into a situation where he could become the starting point guard for one of the NBA’s most historic franchises.
Of course things haven’t exactly been peachy during the early portion of his stint in Southern California as Jeremy Lin has played rather poorly, though it’s possible he could be turning the corner as his play continues to improve slightly every day.
Some of that was on display Friday night when Lin decided to throw a half court alley-oop to Wesley Johnson.
More often than not you can’t help but clutch your fists and hang your head at such a play as they don’t often work out as expected, though this one happened to be flawless as Jeremy Lin’s pass was right on the money as Wes Johnson timed his jump perfectly.
The end result? This beauty:
Understandably that play got the Los Angeles Lakers faithful out of their seats and helped put the team in a position to win the game.
Sadly though it was another tough loss for the Lakers as Kobe Bryant had a chance to win the game with a buzzer beater, though clanked it, dropping Los Angeles to a woeful 3-13.
On the plus side, at least they looked pretty in a losing effort.
