Fantasy Basketball: FanDuel Lineups for November 30th

facebooktwitterreddit

There are a couple of earlier games in the NBA today, but once again, they are not involved in any of the FanDuel contests. That leaves us with a more shallow player pool from five primetime NBA games.

Here are my FanDuel lineups for November 30th:

Nov 24, 2014; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (7) goes airborne to make a lay up against the Phoenix Suns at the Air Canada Centre. Toronto defeated Phoenix 104-100. Mandatory Credit: John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Point Guards:

Bargain:

Mo Williams, Timberwolves ($5,500): Mo had a monster game against the Lakers. While you should temper your expectations against Portland, it would be reasonable to expect 25 fantasy points from Williams. That’s a great value for his price.

Worth The Cost:

Kyle Lowry, Raptors ($8,500): Lowry has scored more than 35 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. In the one that he didn’t, he still put up 28 points. He is the safest bet available at PG tonight.

Mike Conley, Grizzlies ($7,000): Conley has been over 30 fantasy points in five of his last six games. In the one that he wasn’t, the whole team was a mess, so you can’t really blame him for that. If you can’t afford Lowry, Conley is an acceptable substitute.

Risky Play:

Damian Lillard, Trailblazers ($8,500): Lillard is ill, but is still expected to play tonight. You can probably expect Lillard to be a little under what you would expect from him since he is under the weather.

My Lineups:

A: Williams and Lowry ($14,000)

B: Williams and Conley ($12,500)

Shooting Guards:

Bargains:

Lou Williams, Raptors ($4,900): The injury to DeMar DeRozan opens the door for Lou Will to jump into the starting lineup. He has been a force off of the bench for the Raptors for the last several games. He could be an absolute stud as a starter. Keep an eye on how Toronto handles the minutes, but Williams and Terrence Ross become intriguing options up north.

Ben McLemore, Kings ($4,300): McLemore has been getting a consistent 20 fantasy points per game, which is solid production to go cheap.

Worth The Cost:

Kobe Bryant, Lakers ($9,000): Kobe had a big game against the Timberwolves. Up next is a Raptors team that he seems to always torch throughout his career. He is the best option at SG tonight.

Victor Oladipo, Magic ($6,700): Oladipo is rounding back into form. He has averaged a bit over 30 fantasy points over his last three games, and seems to be a safe play right now. Especially at this price.

Risky Play:

Dwyane Wade, Heat ($8,100): Wade will play after a seven game absence with a hamstring injury. I wouldn’t trust him to be back to his normal self just yet. I want to see how he does in at least one game first.

My Lineups:

A: Bryant and McLemore ($13,300)

B: Williams and McLemore ($9,200)

Small Forwards:

Bargains:

Corey Brewer, Timberwolves ($4,900): Brewer has been money since Kevin Martin got hurt. He is a consistent 25 point fantasy producer. At this price, that kind of consistency is golden.

Wesley Johnson, Lakers ($4,400): Johnson has averaged 29 fantasy points over his last three games. His slow start may be behind him finally. He is still a risk, but Nicolas Batum is struggling for the Blazers, so Johnson is still a solid play.

Worth The Cost:

Rudy Gay, Kings ($8,100): Gay’s two game absence to rest his Achilles did wonder for him, as he came back and lit up the Spurs. He is safe to go with again in all formats.

Tobias Harris, Magic ($7,200): It is another thin night at SF. Harris hasn’t been back to his early season form since missing a game last week, but he should be well rested now. He is a bit of a risk, but there is always a chance that he could outscore Gay.

Risky Plays:

Andrew Wiggins, Timberwolves ($5,700): Wiggins is getting plenty of minutes with Kevin Martin out, and was doing well with them up until the disaster against the Lakers on Friday. Is it just a one game hiccup? Maybe, but that is a chance you take.

Terrence Ross, Raptors ($4,700): Ross has been hit and miss all season, but with DeRozan out, he could see the Lou Williams role off the bench. Ross can put up points in a hurry, which makes him an intriguing option.

My Lineups:

A: Harris and Brewer ($12,100)

B: Gay and Brewer ($14,000)

Nov 24, 2014; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (12) warms up prior to a game against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forwards:

Bargain:

Carl Landry, Kings ($3,500): Landry only has value if DeMarcus Cousins sits out again. He is still listed as questionable as of now, but monitor the situation closely if you go with Landry. He has little value with Cousins on the court.

Worth The Cost:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Trailblazers ($9,400): Few players are as consistent as Aldridge. He could have a monster game against a Timberwolves frontcourt that is still missing Nikola Pekovic. Think of what he did against the 76ers on Monday.

Risky Play:

Markieff Morris, Suns ($7,100): Morris had an off game against the Nuggets on Friday. After a monster game against the Nuggets on Wednesday. Consistency is not yet Morris’s strong point. That makes him a risky play.

My Lineups:

A: Morris and Zach Randolph ($14,600): It’s a light night at PF, and I couldn’t afford Aldridge. Randolph is the next best option.

B: Aldridge and Morris ($16,500)

Nov 15, 2014; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas (17) celebrates the win during a game against the Utah Jazz at Air Canada Centre. The Toronto Raptors won 111-93.Mandatory Credit: Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Bargains:

Gorgui Dieng, Timberwolves ($6,000): He lost a bit of playing time to Anthony Bennett, but he still put up his usual output of 25 points with Pekovic out. He is at least consistent.

Jonas Valanciunas, Raptors ($5,900): He has averaged 29 fantasy points over the last three games. Does this mean that he is finally putting everything together? It is possible, and worth taking a risk if you need to go cheap. He has more upside than Dieng.

Worth The Cost:

Marc Gasol, Grizzlies ($8,700): Gasol has averaged a cool 45 fantasy points per game over his last five contests. He is dominating everyone right now. He might be the best center in the game over the last two weeks.

Chris Bosh, Heat ($8,700): Bosh has averaged 35 fantasy points per game over his last four outings. It’s hard to call him worth it when he is still a rung below Gasol right now.

Risky Play:

Jordan Hill, Lakers ($6,500): Hill keeps getting consistent minutes, but has had a couple of off games in a row now. Is this the exception or the rule?

My Lineups:

A; Dieng ($6,000)

B: Gasol ($8,700)
