We all know about James Harden’s defensive shortcomings and just how awful he is on that side of the floor.
Of course, on the flip side there are only a handful of players in the NBA better on offense than the Houston Rockets guard who routinely drops jaws with his arsenal of moves.
Case in point, Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks as Harden looked as if he was trying out for the Harlem Globetrotters with his wizardly dribbling skills.
It all began on a fastbreak early in the third quarter as James Harden brought the ball up the floor for the Houston Rockets. The defense packed the paint so Harden, who was looking to drive to the basket, pulled up and made a shot attempt from the free throw line.
That shot was blocked however, though the ball fell right back into the chest of Harden who promptly skirted the Milwaukee Bucks’ defense by dribbling the ball through his legs and drilled the bucket immediately thereafter.
Sounds too crazy to picture, right? It was incredibly strange and even more incredibly beautiful.
Harden of course was his always stoic self and didn’t even crack a smile over the play, though he had to of known that he got lucky as the blocked shot was begging for a turnover. Thankfully for the former Sun Devil, the ball literally fell right into his hands and the quick thinking All-Star simply reversed course with a between the legs dribble for the easy score.
