Players on the St. Louis Rams roster paid homage to Mike Brown and the Ferguson situation during pregame introductions.

While much of the country has been watching the Ferguson situation unfold from afar, those in Missouri have witnessed the tragedy first hand.

That includes players on the St. Louis Rams who paid tribute to Mike Brown and the entire Ferguson situation during pregame warmups on Sunday afternoon.

As the offensive players were introduced to the crowd, multiple players that included Jared Cook, Tayvon Austin and more all came out of the tunnel and put their hands up in honor of Brown.

The St. Louis Rams aren’t the first team or collection of players to pay homage to Mike Brown and the Ferguson situation though have understandably been impacted the greatest given the proximity.

Of course, the Rams players weren’t attempting to justify any of the poor decisions made by those in the area who’ve decided to turn the protests into looting/violence, but rather attempting to make their voice heard to the masses without actually saying anything.

It seems as if the hope was that more attention would be brought upon the unfortunate scenario unfolding in Missouri and that’s exactly what was accomplished by the players.

A very cool and inspiring gesture.
