Denver Police Tweet Love For Local Teams, Forget About Denver Nuggets
By Josh Hill
The Denver sports scene is one that is tightly knit — well, unless you’re the Denver Nuggets that is.
The Denver Broncos have restored a lot of glory to the Denver sports scene as their run with Peyton Manning is the stuff of Mile High lore. Coupled with the Broncos are the Colorado Rockies, who are less than a decade removed from a trip to the World Series in 2007.

Then there’s the Colorado Avalanche, who are on the rise in the NFL after a stunning season last season that ended in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Even the local soccer team is gaining a lot of popularity, but the basketball team just can’t get any love.
Proof of this was seen in a tweet sent out by the Denver PD, which mentioned all of the local Denver teams — except the Nuggets.
Denver hasn’t been relevant since they had a guy named Carmelo Anthony on their team but since trading him the building process has been slow and painful. Last year was particularly bad as the Nuggets couldn’t keep a healthy guard on the floor.
A turnaround is inevitable for the Nuggets, but they can’t stop getting in their own way. They may have beaten the mighty Cleveland Cavaliers once this season but the Nuggets can’t even get recognition in their own city.
