Kobe Bryant stopped playing for a moment to allow a defender to recover during the Lakers–Raptors game, only to embarrass him moments later.

Even at his age, there aren’t many matchups more difficult in the NBA than having to guard Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.
That’s something Terrance Ross of the Toronto Raptors found out on Sunday evening as Bryant unloaded for 31 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. It was the 20th triple-double of Kobe Bryant’s career, though just one of many times when the Black Mamba has embarrassed the opposition with a jaw dropping play.
Such took place in the fourth quarter in a tight battle when Kobe Bryant was bumped by Ross in his attempt to post up.
The mild collision knocked Bryant’s pivot foot loose while Terrance Ross quickly became confused as to who he was supposed to guard and then ran into his own teammate leaving Kobe Bryant all alone on the wing.
It apperaed as if the Lakers icon had a relatively easy basket at his disposal but he seemingly wanted a challenge and for a moment stopped playing allowing Ross to recover on defense.
That’s when he decided to rip the heart out of the defense as not only did he allow Ross back in the play, he straight abused him about two seconds later with a nasty crossover which sent the talented defender to his knees.
I’m not sure who should get more credit here, Kobe Bryant for actually allowing Ross to get back in position to play defense or Terrance Ross for essentially walking into a death trap.
It wasn’t all good for Kobe though as he was trolled by teammate Nick Young after breaking an NBA record, this not long after the Black Mamba was teabagged and laughed at by a former Lakers player.
