Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine was asked about the quarterback situation on Monday, and no real definitive answer was given.

It took maybe a little longer than everyone had expected, but there is a bit of a quarterback controversy now with the Cleveland Browns between Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer, making life for head coach Mike Pettine difficult at the moment, more than likely.
On Monday, of course, Pettine was asked by reporters whether or not he has decided on a quarterback for Sunday, and he noted that he and the staff have yet to make a decision on the subject.

Now this shouldn’t be all that shocking, given the fact that it’s been less than 24 hours since the controversy got its small start.
After Brian Hoyer was wildly ineffective against the Bills on Sunday, Pettine pulled his starter for rookie Johnny Manziel, who immediately entered the game and led the team on a long scoring drive that he capped off himself with a dynamic 10-yard scoring run.
However, on his next drive, Manziel was hit in the pocket and fumbled, so his overall impression was not that convincing.
The Browns, with either Manziel or Hoyer under center, will take on the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.
