Linebacker Terrell Suggs says the Baltimore Ravens need to win the remainder of their games in order to make the postseason.

The Baltimore Ravens suffered what had to be a heartbreaking loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Baltimore squandered a 10-point fourth quarter lead and gave up the game-deciding touchdown with 38 seconds left, ultimately losing 34-33.

The loss puts the Ravens at 7-5, giving them little margin for error in the race for the AFC’s final wild card game.

Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs went as far as to say the team can not afford to lose another game.

From BaltimoreRavens.com:

"“We have to win out,” Suggs said.“If we win them all, we’re 11-5,” Suggs said. “Usually that’s good enough. It all starts with next week. We definitely need to have that game.”"

Suggs might be correct here. The battle for AFC playoff berths is extremely difficult. Right now, a whopping 12 teams in the conference are at least .500.

"“Especially with how tough our division is, how tough our conference is, you can’t afford to give one up down the stretch,” Suggs said. “We really have to play phenomenal this last quarter of the season.”"

The good thing for Baltimore is that three of its four final games this season come against possible playoff teams: the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns.  The Ravens also will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Baltimore can win all four like Suggs suggests they must do.
