Ray Rice knows that things were not handled well in the weeks and months after he hit his wife, but for that he is more than willing to blame the Baltimore Ravens.
Fascinating, is one word you might use to describe the dynamic between the Baltimore Ravens and Ray Rice over the last 12 months. Disgusting, is another word you might use as they point fingers back and forth.

As if you needed the recap, everybody handled themselves poorly as this situation unfolded. Commissioner Roger Goodell and Ravens’ owner Steve Bisciotti may or may not have worked out a deal behind the scenes to limit Rice‘s punishment to only two games. In the process, Rice and his now-wife Janay were put out in front of the world for a terrible press conference in which she apologized for her “role” when she was beaten.
Then the video of the punch itself surfaced, and the Ravens went from being Rice’s biggest supporter to shifting the blame to him for their inexcusable stance on the situation. The league and the team not only made it clear that they only took this seriously after seeing actual video, but then they tried to blame Rice.
Now, with Rice reinstated after winning the appeal of his suspension, he is pointing the blame back towards the Ravens. With Janay speaking for the first time, Ray Rice is willing to admit that the aforementioned press conference was a mistake; he’s just also willing to blame the team for it.
To be absolutely clear, nobody here is defending the Ravens. Nor are they defending Rice. Let’s just say that they all handled this situation terribly, and they should worry only about themselves instead of blaming the other parties.
That goes especially for Rice, who was the guy who threw the punch in the first place. Rice, the guy who actually speaks this sentence in the video clip above: “I know I should have apologized to my wife.”
Ya think?
