Blackhawks’ Corey Crawford Breaks Foot At Rise Against Concert
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford ‘trips on stairs’ at Rise Against concert, breaks foot
Oh man.
According to Crawford, he ‘missed a step’ on his way out of a Rise Against concert, and only realized he had ‘missed that step’ so seriously that he broke his foot when he woke up the next morning.

Not to sound like someone who’s ever taken one too many Fireball shots during the Stanley Cup playoffs, but this sounds awfully familiar.
Reports from witnesses claim that Crawford was… ah… a few steps removed from sobriety when he was spotted at the show, to no one’s great surprise. Really, I was more surprised that it was Crawford and not Andrew Shaw. Am I the only one who assumes he listens religiously to Rise Against?
The more important thing at this point is that Crawford will miss the next two to three weeks with the ‘off-ice’ injury; with the Blackhawks just pushing their way back into a playoff spot, this news is the last thing they needed.
I would suggest that they snap up one of the free agent goaltenders who got overlooked in the off-season, like Martin Brodeur or Ilya Bryzgalov. But…. yeah. About that.
Somehow, I think this Chicago-based band isn’t getting a whole lot of love from the natives right now.
