The NFL has suspended Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata four games after he violated the league’s banned substance policy.
The Baltimore Ravens are in the thick of the AFC playoff hunt, but they’re going to have to finish the regular season without one of their pillars on their defensive front.

Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has been suspended by the NFL for four games following a failed drug test that showed PEDs in his system. According to Ngata, the PEDs weren’t steroids, rather it was Adderall — which is nonetheless a banned substance by the NFL.
Gnat released a statement after the announcement of his suspension, stating his remorse over being foolish enough to take a banned substance.

Despite his suspension lasting the remainder of the regular season, Ngata is eligible to return to the Ravens in the postseason.
In a statement, Ngata says he took Adderall. “I made a mistake, and I own this." He's eligible to play in the playoffs.

This is assuming the Ravens make it into the playoffs, as right now they’r eon the outside looking in — but only barely so. It’s a tight AFC North race with all four teams in the mix at the Week 14 mark. Losing Ngata hurts the Ravens but it’s not a fatal blow.
It’s something they didn’t want to have to deal with, but it’s hard to feel bad for the Ravens given all the things they’ve been through this season and the shady nature in which they conduct business.
