For anybody that’s ever painfully watched or had to sit through a press conference, you’re well aware that they’re incredibly boring.
It’s the same typical questions with the same typical answers over and over. Though there are exceptions to the rule and apparently sometimes boredom can get the best of you, as it did to Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sitting next to teammate Blake Griffin, CP3 was asked a question and in his response attempted to suggest that the Clippers were letting their defense dictate their offense.
Dictate is the key word here though as the All-Star point guard, nearly falling asleep through the presser, had a mental gaff and suggested it was the Clippers’ dicks that were helping the team play good basketball.
Ooops.
Funny as the slippage was, more hilarious was the reaction of Blake Griffin who immediately became wide-eyed and seemingly more embarrassed for Chris Paul than Paul was for himself.
Paul, completely aware of what he did, especially after Griffin’s reaction couldn’t help but laugh while the power forward asked the media for another question as to escape the incredibly awkward moment.
It may not be on the same level as Allen Iverson’s press conference or even Jim Mora’s, but this was pretty hilarious.
