There’s not much worse than being on the wrong end of a nasty crossover during a basketball game. In fact, the only thing that could possibly make that scenario worse would be it happening in front of 20,000 people while Michael Jordan watched from the front row.
For Nikola Mirotic of the Chicago Bulls, that’s exactly what took place on Wednesday evening.
Getting hung up on a screen, the Chicago Bulls rookie ended up going one-on-one against Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets who decided to use the mismatch in his favor.
Unleashing a wave of dribbling moves, Walker crossed over Nikola Mirotic which sent the Bulls player stumbling to the court. That left Walker with a wide open shot which he drilled with relative ease as the impressed crowd cheered over their gasps.
That alone was plenty of reason for Mirotic to be embarrassed but it was Michael Jordan, owner of the Charlotte Hornets and former Chicago Bulls great, who drove the dagger through the heart as he watched the replay on the jumbotron and laughed at Walker murking Mirotic.
Thankfully Michael Jordan didn’t bust out laughing or make a scene but rather hilariously mused to himself, probably thinking that he could too drop Mirotic if given a similar situation.
