Although the Dallas Mavericks almost drafted Giannis Antetokounmpo, it was the Milwaukee Bucks who decided to do so and they probably couldn’t be happier with their decision.
While still relatively raw, Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the ‘Greek Freak’ has been showing brilliant flashes of promise, much like he did on Friday night against the Miami Heat and Chris Bosh.
With the ‘Greek Freak’ running alongside the baseline, the overly lengthy forward decided he was going to go up for an impressive slam dunk. Standing in his way though was Bosh, who seemingly felt as if he was going to be in perfect position for a blocked shot.
In most scenarios he probably would have been, but not against the long arms of Giannis Antetokounmpo who completely embarrassed Bosh in the process, slamming it right down in his face.
I have to give it to Chris Bosh here. As impressive as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dunk was, the Miami Heat forward sat there and took the abuse like a man. He could have given up and decided to shift out of the way as to not become a poster, but took the beating like a star.
Thankfully nobody was injured on the slam, outside of Chris Bosh’s pride which probably will spend the next few weeks battered and bruised, especially since his Miami Heat teammates aren’t going to let him forget about getting dunked on.
As for the ‘Greek Freak’, the Milwaukee Bucks forward continues to impress and looks destined for stardom assuming he can continue to progress at his current level.
