Although the San Francisco 49ers sit in position for a possible playoff birth, it’s been a rough year for the Bay Area franchise as they’ve dealt with constant rumors surrounding head coach Jim Harbaugh while losing multiple defensive Pro Bowl players to injury and/or suspension.
Despite that, the defense for the most part has held up well. The offense, however, has been another story as the 49ers have struggled to score points all season. Those woes have only worsened at home where San Francisco has only scored 98 points through six games.
The Oregon Ducks, meanwhile, who’ve played two games at Levi’s Stadium have scored 110 points, only adding insult to injury.
STRANGE BUT TRUE: Oregon has scored more points (110) in two games at Levi's Stadium than the 49ers have in six games (98).

In fairness to the San Francisco 49ers, they don’t have an extremely high-powered offense so it’s not as if they’re completely failing in that regard. Still, there’s no denying they’ve had some massive struggles this season scoring points, especially in their new Santa Clara based home.
Hopefully for the San Francisco 49ers faithful, those woes will be coming to an end as the 49ers finish out their home schedule and hopefully return to the playoffs after reaching the NFC Championship game last season. If they do, they’ll be without both Patrick Willis and NaVarro Bowman, two of the best linebackers in the NFL who will not see the field during the remainder of the year.
Willis has been out since the early portions of the season with a toe injury while Bowman suffered a horrific injury during the 2013 NFC title game.
