AFC Wild Card Standings: Steelers, Chargers Are In Entering Week 15

On Sunday night of Week 14 of the NFL Season, the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers would be the two AFC Wild Card teams to get into the playoffs.

The New England Patriots got a big win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football, that had a ripple affect on the AFC Playoff standings. The win moved the Patriots ahead of the Denver Broncos as the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the team with home-field advantage throughout because the Patriots beat the Broncos.
The Indianapolis Colts would be the third seed as AFC South Champions and the Cincinnati Bengals would be the fourth seed as AFC North Champions.
The first wild card spot would go to the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are one of three teams sporting an 8-5 record. The Steelers got the nod over AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens based on best win percentage in division games. The Steelers have a tie breaker over the San Diego Chargers based on best win percentage in conference games..
The Chargers got the nod as the sixth seed and final AFC playoff team by owning a tie-breaker over the Ravens, with the head-to-head win coming into play. That means the Ravens, at 8-5, would be the odd team out.
