If you turned on the ACC title game between the Florida State Seminoles and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday night, you likely noticed things were rather foggy. Was it just the weather causing havoc though? While Mother Nature was a bit unhappy and there was fog in the area, it certainly wasn’t as dense as it looked on television and in the stands.

That’s because pregame fireworks for the ACC title game enhanced the cloud coverage and needless to say, it was nearly impossible to see the field for a period of time.

I’m no scientist but even I could have told you the residuals from a firework show would not go over in a moist, wet environment.

Thankfully the excess smoke did clear out relatively quickly and things weren’t delayed very much, but I’m sure the players were thrilled with the blanket of smokey air drenching the field during their pregame festivities.

So next time there’s a significant amount of moisture in the air, perhaps we save the fireworks for the next game, okay?
