The Houston Rockets, who are among the NBA‘s best teams, will become a ‘problem’ for the rest of the league once they get healthy says James Harden.

More from Houston Rockets

Houston Rockets guard James Harden, who is shockingly the NBA’s best defender through the first month plus of the season, isn’t worried about any other team in the Western Conference.

Sure, it’s as deep as ever and a 16-4 start, which the Houston Rockets have experienced, isn’t even good enough for the conference’s top seed. Still, Harden believes the Houston Rockets will control their own destiny this season and feels as if they’ll be a problem for the opposition once they get healthy.

“Once we get our full team back and ready to go, we’re going to be a problem,” James Harden said.

It’s slightly terrifying that at 16-4, the Houston Rockets have actually experienced some injury issues and could actually get better as the season goes on. Many believed the loss of Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin would all but send Houston back to the NBA’s lottery but it’s been the exact opposite so far.

Granted there’s a lot of season remaining, but the Houston Rockets appear as if they have no plans to slow down and will remain one of the NBA’s best teams.

Perhaps some of that is related to the improved defense of Harden who continues to evolve as a player. General manager Daryl Morey did a fantastic job to put together a balanced roster as well, especially after he and the Houston Rockets were spurned by Carmelo Anthony in free agency.

It’s likely the Rockets won’t be able to keep up their 80 percent win total, but a near 60-win campaign may not be out of the question after their hot start.
