It’s been an up-and-down season for New York Giants rookie running back Andre Williams, though there’s no denying his talent.
While he’s at times struggles to get things going and had ball security issues, he’s also been able to make opposing defenses look silly.
In the most ironic of twists, he seemingly did both on the same play today against the Tennessee Titans.
With the New York Giants facing a 3rd and 1 in the early portions of the third quarter, Andre Williams was giving the hand off by Eli Manning in hopes of grabbing a yard or two for the first down. But just as Williams attempted to grab the ball, it nearly popped out of his grasp and resulted in a terrible fumble.
However Williams was able to secure the rock and promptly unloaded a beautiful run en route to a 50-yard touchdown.
That’s one of those plays you watch in real-time and scream at the TV “NO NO NO” only to seconds later start jumping up and down in excitement after you realize the great result that’s to come in the next moment.
You don’t do that, you say? Just me? Well, don’t judge me.
