Fans will hold a ‘die-in’ protest in honor of Michael Brown and Eric Garner after the Philadelphia Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday evening.

More from NFL

Last week we saw multiple St. Louis Rams players pay homage to Michael Brown, the young man who was killed in Ferguson, Missouri. Today we’ve seen multiple NFL players wear “I can’t breath” shirts in honor of Eric Garner, who was killed after being placed in a chokehold by New York City police.

Now it’s the turn of fans, specifically those in Pennsylvania who are planning to protest the actions of those police departments by staging what is being called a ‘die-in’ after the Philadelphia Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks.

Per ESPN:

"POWER clergy leader and members of their congregations will lie down in the middle of the intersection at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue outside Lincoln Financial Field after the completion of Sunday’s game. Participants were instructed to arrive at 7 p.m. ET.The protesters will lie in the street for a total of four minutes and 30 seconds to represent the four hours and 30 minutes that Michael Brown laid lifeless in the streets of Ferguson, Mo."

While the sentiment of POWER (Philadelphia Organized to Witness Empower & Rebuild) is understood and they’re certainly going to get the word out, there’s no denying that the protest is certainly going to cause a logistics nightmare for those in the area considering the traffic concerns.

Those involved in the protest were told to be at Lincoln Financial Field by 7 p.m. ET.

The Philadelphia Eagles are not involved with the protest.

Hopefully tempers are kept at a minimum and fans/protesters can let their voice be heard without any problems.
